I would happily collaborate, or guest post, on someone’s blog who had 1 follower.

One of the things I’m relatively okay with about myself is the fact that I WANT to help people. GOD, that sounds horrible; it seems like I’m saying “PFTTTT you TOTALLY need my help you puny mortal blogger, HA!”

I’m not. If it comes across that way, you can call me a bitch; I’M SORRY! All I want to say is that I am completely willing, and HAPPY, to, um…

Okay okay this is getting awkward. So like I have a few followers and stuff… And NO if anyone says the word Quaen I will scream. And… OH CRAP I’m being arrogant again let’s start this over…

I am possibly the worst person ever at admitting that I’ve been successful, or that I’m good at, something. But I’m both, in a way, when it comes to blogging. There. Arrogant part over and done with, for the most part.

The point is: if you don’t have many followers – by that I mean below 50, or below 100 – or you’re new to blogging, I want to help you in any way I can. Also, I’d LOVE to guest post on your blog or have you posting on mine because that’d be amazing and it would make my week. I know what it’s like to be new to blogging and just think, “CRAP, how do I even talk to anyone and what is this CRAAAAHP.”

As well as this, I think it’s lovely to find a new blog, and get new comments from people on yours. Whenever I receive a lovely word from someone, it makes me grin whilst reading, and I know that when I started getting 1 comment on a post, it made me unbelievably happy. (It still does).

I’ll be focusing on anyone who wants to guest pos, who’s new or relatively new, probably more than I create actual posts. GCSEs are starting soon, so I need to make time for them, yet I’ll always have this blog open to you guys.

So, if you’re thinking, “SHUT up Elm no one likes you; you’re acting like a TOTAL arsehole,” you’d probably be right. Um, I mean, SHUSH I’m a nice person? But if you’re thinking, “I honestly don’t know what I’m doing with blogging, and I want my words to be read,” hit me up.

At the end of the day, follower count doesn’t matter. What means the world to me, and probably for you too, is to have your words read and for people to get meaning out of them. It gives you a chance to get your voice out there, anonymously or otherwise, and to make people smile, laugh and think.

You all deserve to have that; everyone does. When you start, blogging is sometimes terrifying and you don’t know what to do with yourself. If you want advice, you can always ask me, or talk to another blogger (everybody is so nice, like you wouldn’t believe).

  7. This is SO cute and sweet. Plus, taking credit for something we did or accomplished is in no way arrogant, so be proud of all the things you’ve had the pleasure to achieve! Celebrate! Be very proud! I wish you the very best and if you think you’re being arrogant, then always be it! Your arrogance is too sweet and VERY needed everywhere.

  8. AWH you’re so sweet Elm! I started following you when you were quite successful, and you still are to this day! Admitting you’re successful isn’t arrogant, being arrogant would be “hAAA IM A SUCCESSFUL BLOGGER AND I LOVE TO BLOG BC IM SUCCESSFUL AND KNOWING IM SUCCESSFUL MAKES ME HAPPY” whereas you are more like “I love to blog because I love to blog. Also the blogging community is super kind (:” You see the definitive difference right?

  9. I loved this because of how true it is! I just created my blog last week and every “view” I get makes me smile. Every “like” on a post or the first comment I received was like receiving a brand new gift from a stranger. The whole reason I created a blog was to let myself be myself on some kind of platform; and since I can’t be who I am in real day to day life, I share myself in my blog. Like you said in this post, you just want someone to read it, appreciate it, like it, or to gain something from it – and it’s SO true! I hope that my posts can inspire others or that others can at least relate to what I write. I’ve always enjoyed writing since I was young but no one ever appreciated or took the time to notice what I was doing. Thus far, I’ve received roughly 15 followers that didn’t come from my Facebook. I can’t wait for the day when I see hundreds of followers who enjoy reading what I have to say. I hope to create something everyone can enjoy. And, for the record, if you ever want to be a guest on my blog, or have me on yours, I would be absolutely honored (:

    • I think, to date, that was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever read, because it was just so OPEN and honest. I know exactly how you feel, because every day I smile because of what people say to me on my blog. I would love to guest post on your blog; that would be amazing! People SHOULD appreciate your writing, because I bet it’s fantastic.

I was so surprised when you started following me, and really you do so much already. I thought you’d be really busy with all your a thousand and something followers but you made time for everyone to like and comment. So, yeah. I don’t think I’ve ever come across a blogger as dedicated to her followers as you. You’re amazing! 💗🌟

    Seriously: you are like the qu**n 🙂 of this blogging thing because you always, ALWAYS respond to people’s comments and actually look at their blogs even though you have like 1000 followers and you could just be like, “Ha, LOL NOOB!” But you’re NOT like that: you’re always so sweet and supportive of literally anyone. And I’m talking ANYONE.
    Also, this was really encouraging for me to read since I have like the tiniest blog ever and one comment encourages me to keep blogging :). Soooo…. maybe…. I could… +blushes uncontrollably and tries to hide+… possibly do a guest blog on your blog? +passes out from embarrassment+
